TREES

EVE’S NECKLACE
Leguminosae Sophora affinis

Eve’s necklace is a small tree up to 20 feet.  It has small leaves and in the spring is has clusters of pink blooms.  In the fall those clusters turn into shiny black strings of seed that remind one of a black necklace, therefore the name, Eve’s necklace.  It will grow in full sun or in part sun.  Protect from the deer since it is in the legume family and a tasty treat for the deer while it is young.
