TREES

Big Tooth Maple
Aceraceae Acer grandidentatum

A beautiful tree that will grow about 50 feet tall. This is the only recommended maple for the Hill Country. It has nice foliage and gives a real treat in the fall with yellow, orange, or red leaves. Each tree has its own special color. Once established it can hold up against heat and drought but should not be planted on an exposed western site.
