Poaceae Sorghastrum nutans

Many native prairie grasses are tall and Indian grass is 3 to 5 feet tall. Plant in full sun and enjoy the gold and reddish seed heads in the fall. Give it plenty of room to spread. Deer do not eat the grasses, but cattle find this one delicious
