Wax myrtle is an evergreen shrub or small tree with blue-green leaves.  The fragrant leaves may keep the deer away.  It grows up to 35 feet, but is usually less than 20 feet.  Plant wax myrtle in sun, shade or part shade.  It does not mind poor drainage.
