Lindheimer Senna
Leguminosae Cassia lindheimeri

This late summer and fall blooming yellow flowered perennial will grow in dry rocky soil and the deer will leave it alone. The dark green leaves are soft and feel like velvet. Give it lots of room, as it can grow up to three feet tall and three feet wide. Collect the seeds and discard them, as this plant will reproduce freely.
